MPG INSTRUMENTS brings 40 years of expertise in electronic instrumentation at Wireless & Towers
16 Settembre 2026The countdown has begun for Wireless & Towers 2026, the new event dedicated to the Italian telecommunications and wireless infrastructure industry, taking place from 7 to 9 October at BolognaFiere.
Globally, the connectivity sector continues to grow, strengthening its role as a backbone of the digital economy. According to Omdia, the international technology, media and telecommunications research and analysis firm, in 2025 the market encompassing mobile services, fixed broadband and voice reached a value of $1.3 trillion, confirming the economic importance of an ecosystem that is constantly evolving.
Against this backdrop, infrastructure plays a central role: the availability and widespread deployment of infrastructure determine the ability of networks to support the evolution of services, the introduction of new technologies and the growing demand for connectivity.
It is from this perspective that Wireless & Towers 2026 will bring together industry stakeholders to discuss the transformations taking place in the world of wireless communications and the challenges facing the industry.
The event will open on Wednesday, 7 October at 9:30 a.m. with the conference “The Challenge of Wireless Communications and Their Infrastructure”, bringing together some of the sector’s leading players to discuss strategies, investments and development prospects.
Speakers will include Alessandro Prosdocimo, Customer & Technical Operations Director, Cellnex Alpine; Lucio Golinelli, Chief Smart Infrastructure Officer, INWIT; Roberto Cecatto, CEO and General Manager, Rai Way; and Sara Servilli, President, CFWA, with the support of ASSTEL and the participation of Rosario Alfredo Donato, General Manager, Confindustria Radio Televisioni.
The conference programme will continue with sessions focusing on some of the key areas driving the evolution of wireless communications: 5G Broadcast and opportunities for content creators; Direct-to-Device and low- and medium-Earth-orbit constellations; Italy’s wireless communications industrial supply chain; private cellular networks; and the local dimension of wireless communications, including the integration, co-location and competition with WAN networks.
On the exhibition side, Wireless & Towers 2026 will bring together companies operating across the various segments of the industry, from infrastructure and transmission systems to technologies, components and solutions for wireless communications. Exhibitors include INWIT, Ceragon Networks Italy, Advantec, SICE, FEM Fabbricazioni Elettromeccaniche, Pontiradio PR, Luxsolar, BT-GROUP, Italsite and ZOTUP.
The event is held under the patronage of ANIE (Federazione Nazionale Imprese Elettrotecniche ed Elettroniche), APPICE (Associazione Piccoli Proprietari Infrastrutture Comunicazione Elettronica), ASI (Italian Space Agency), Assintel (Associazione Nazionale Imprese ICT), ASSTEL (AssoTelecomunicazioni), CNIT (Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni) and AssoProvider. Cellnex is the event’s Platinum Sponsor.
Wireless & Towers 2026 is part of Urban Tech 2026 – The Urban Technology Show, the new exhibition hub dedicated to technologies driving the evolution of cities and infrastructure. The hub comprises the E-Tech Europe, E-Charge, Traffic, Wireless & Towers, Expol and secsolutionforum exhibitions. Asphaltica 2026 and SAIE 2026 will take place concurrently.
